RWJBarnabas Health
Yesterday was a proud and exciting day for the Youth Foundation of Jersey City.
We are honored to receive a $400,000 investment from RWJBarnabas Health through its Our Healthy Communities initiative, a transformational commitment that will allow us to expand our support for students and families throughout Jersey City. This investment recognizes the importance of addressing the challenges that impact a child’s ability to succeed both inside and outside the classroom, including access to healthcare, mental health resources, food security, and family stability.
We are deeply grateful to Mark E. Manigan, President and CEO of RWJBarnabas Health; Dr. Balpreet Grewal-Virk, Senior Vice President of Community Health; and Jonathan Kyriacou, President and CEO of Jersey City Medical Center, for their leadership and belief in the work we do every day to strengthen our community.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Hudson County Executive Craig Guy; Jenny Davis, Chief of Staff to County Executive Craig Guy; Jersey City Mayor James S. Solomon; and Kearny Mayor Carol Jean Doyle for their continued commitment to improving the lives of Hudson County residents and supporting partnerships that create lasting impact.
We are grateful to the State of New Jersey for supporting this important initiative and helping expand access to critical services beyond traditional healthcare settings.
It is an honor to stand alongside fellow community partners, including North Hudson Community Action Corporation, the Kearny Department of Public Health, and Hudson Pride Center, as we work together to build healthier, stronger, and more equitable communities.
This investment will help us deepen our impact in schools and neighborhoods across Jersey City, ensuring that more children and families have access to the resources, opportunities, and support systems they need to thrive.
Thank you to RWJBarnabas Health, Jersey City Medical Center, and all of our partners for believing in our mission and investing in the future of our community. We are excited for what lies ahead.
