Anne Mosca

Anne Mosca is a former urban educator, and a passionate advocate for children who grow up and attend school in America's inner cities. During her career she sent over 4,000 high school students on to college and careers, many of whom were the first in their family to graduate from high school. 

Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in British Literature from High Point University and the University of London, a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education, and a Master of Arts degree in British Literature from Long Island University. Anne is a licensed high school English and special education teacher; she is also an experienced trauma-informed coach and trainer for professionals working in struggling NYC and Newark schools, specializing in helping adults support children facing the daily trauma of poverty.  Anne is the recipient of a Fulbright Award from the United States Department of State, which invited her to study international literacy in Istanbul, Turkey. To date, she is the only civilian recipient of the United States Army Educator Award, and was honored as the Invited American Educator at the Inauguration of the President of the United States in 2004. She was honored three times in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers", and won the National Honor Society Teacher of Distinction Award seventeen times. Anne is also a licensed paralegal and realtor, and currently serves the local community as a real estate agent with SILVERMAN in Jersey City.  

Anne is a board member for JerseyCats, a local animal rescue, a member of the Fulbright Awards Lifetime Achievement Awards Committee, a Selection Committee Member for Jersey City’s Imagine More Grant and was a participant in the Jersey City Principal for a Day Program.  Anne is a dual citizen of the United States and European Union, and loves to travel and explore the world.
